GameDaily always has some awkward, out-of-place list (have I ever said how much I hate these?) in hand. The majority of them usually include something that is in relation to Rare and unfortunately, that’s not always a good thing. But not to worry for today. It’s not bad but I don’t know if it’s good either…
Their newest, obligatory listing pertains to the ‘Top 10 Characters that let themselves go’. As bestowed by the title of this news post, it shouldn’t be difficult to decipher that a certain red squirrel squandered onto this list, but does he deserve to be there? He unshamefully wizzes on other beings, chokes singing poo with toilet paper, craps on the village people…Okay. I think it’s pretty self explanatory, don’t you?

First birds, now monkeys. Will these lists ever die?! Now I know how Leigh feels…Loveday, if I ever decide to send in another letter to Scribes, rest assured it won’t be a bloody list. Moving on…
SlobsofGaming just recently celebrated the ‘Twelve Greatest Video Game Monkeys’, with both Diddy Kong (#4) and, astonishingly, Kiddy Kong (#10) listed among them. Diddy was to be expected, but Kiddy? I’m certainly not bashing the poor little guy, but it’s just not every day that he is mentioned by other “journalists”. SlobsofGaming deserve some *insert text of awesomeness here* for the recognition of one of the most overlooked monkeys of all-time.

The folks over at MTV are at it again, this time asking for your votes for Gaming’s Greatest Birds. The nominees for Rare created characters are Expresso the Ostrich from Donkey Kong Country, Eyrie the Eagle from Banjo-Kazooie, and the loud-mouthed breegull herself, Kazooie. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m rooting for Kazooie. I’d rather not be egged for failing to vote for her!

Since Viva Pinata Ds’s official unveiling at comic-con last year by Rare’s James "BIGsheep" Thomas and Justin "we worked really hard" Cook, not very much info or media for the game has been shown. But it looks like they may soon be changing as the game has finally received it’s official title: Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise. Another innuendo Rare? That’s meh boys. Expect the game to be released in the relatively near future.

So it seems Rare-Elite has been having a bit of problems for the past week. For some reason, when anyone using Internet Explorer tries to access the site, an error code pops up and refuses the to open the page. The problem we thought lied in the addition of the Twitter to the sidebar. Tyrant has removed it and seems to have corrected the problem. If ANY of you still receive the ‘abort’ message, please be sure and let us know so we can correct it immediately. The majority of you who visit us here us IE, so it’s very important that we are aware of any complications you may be having. We’ve also got an entire week’s worth of news we’ve missed due to this unfortunate circumstance that includes several more ‘top’ lists from various websites and the official title for Viva Pinata DS! So stay tuned!
