*UPDATE*BREAKING! Official Banjo-Kazooie Website launches
March 19th, 2008 by hylian1
It’s happening. With Banjo-Kazooie 360’s 2008 release speedily approaching, Microsoft/Rare have launched the official Banjo-Kazooie website. Although it currently showcases nothing more than a blue print with gears, what appears to be a boat propellor, and spinning Jiggy in the middle of the page with Banjo’s head and the words ‘coming soon’ alternating inside the Jiggy, we expect that we’ll be seeing some updates to this site fairly soon. If not, then during/after this years Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in mid-July.
*UPDATE* After searching through the site’s source code, it appears that it will have quite the features available including its own Forums, Blog, Leaderboards and Newsletters We’ll keep you up-to-date on any further findings as we continue to investigate.

I’m 99.99% sure that the source code that mentions PhotoMode is there for the Omniture service that Microsoft uses to track page views and downloads on some of their sites. If you check the source of the Gears of War website, this exact code is near the bottom of the page.

Heh, nice. What caught my eye, specifically, was a frightened bear. Breaks your heart, doesn’t it?

Silverlight:
Some kind of streaming videoservice. Also used for the technology behind the Videomarketplace. Microsoft and NBC will also use it for the Olympics so that users can make/create their own broadcast. Its a kind of advanced flash programme with more videotools.

Update: Rare has contacted CVG to inform us that, while the teaser site is currently thin on content, it will be updated soon. Rare community manager, George Kelion, told CVG: “Like the game, the teaser site is still under construction and you can expect updates relatively soon.” Fingers on the F5 button, then.
