Killer Instinct 3 hints are everywhere!!! Ultrrra Combo

November 16th, 2008 by Tyrant_Reborn

It began with Grabbed by the Ghoulies, though the game was questionable in terms of quality it gathered many people interest with the first hint of a possible KI 3. Flash foward a couple of years and Rare’s 2007 Holiday card featured a stocking with a similar hint “KI3″. A couple of months back we received yet another hint when Viva Pinata cards were release giving players pinata’s with KI’s characters names.

With the brand new release of Banjo Kazooie Nut’s and Bolts we have an item titled “Fulgore’s Fist” and if you talk to bottles one of his questions is “What do you know about KI 3?”.

Not to mention earlier this year we also had received sheet music supposedly from KI3 and during a press visit an image from the original KI concept art with the words “Killer Instinct:3D Death, Destruction, and Doom” . Even the official banjo blog seems to be hinting at it “Others, like the award-winning Louise Ridgeway, are just glad to be off the hefty quantities of industrial-strength coffee. Richie Prado, meanwhile, tells me to get lost as he’s busy coming up with stuff for something called KI 3… or it might’ve been KB, I couldn’t really tell.”

While it hasn’t been officially announced, I think it’s safe to say Rare is indeed working on KI3 and it’s less a matter of if but more a matter of when we will finally see our full glimpse of the game in all it’s glory.

Art of the Infinite Combo

September 8th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

I’ve never had the opportunity to play Killer Instinct 2 myself and don’t know if I ever will, considering it was an Arcade release only. I am aware, however, of an infinite combo glitch that was exploited by some avid fan somewhere, and apparently GamesRadar is aware of it is as well. Watch this massive combo for yourselves share your thoughts with us. Boy, do I ever wish I could do that!

DK Rap make you Cringe, dawg?

September 2nd, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

Awwww… 1up… just when I was proud of you for giving Trouble in Paradise such a great score, you have to go and pull this number. The DK Rap may not have been the best ‘rap song’ in a video game, but I’ve yet to see it be a cause for ‘cringe inducing’. Does any one here truly hate the song so badly that it causes you to cringe when you hear it?

Destructoid Wants More Battletoads!

September 2nd, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

You reading this Rare? It may be one of the most difficult video games of all-time, it may have caused an increase in balding males in the late 80s/early 90s, and it may have even resulted in a relative amount of shattered controllers, but I, your fans, and even Destructoid want it back, proving so in their Ten Videogame Characters Due a Comeback article. So please Rare, if Castle Crashers, Contra IV, and Alien Hominid have proven anything, there is still quite an interest in side-scrolling beat em’ ups, even if they are nearly impossible to beat!

Game Daily’s Top 25 Nintendo Characters

August 26th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

Kind of surprising to see who made this list. It is a Kong, of course, but it isn’t Diddy or Donkey or even Tiny….it’s Cranky. That’s right, old monkey Cranky Kong is listed number 20 on Game Daily’s Top 25 Nintendo Characters of All-Time. Congrats to you Cranky. Perhaps you can be given a electric wheelchair in celebration!

GameGirl’s Top Sidekicks

August 22nd, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

In most video games, the main protagonist and sometimes antagonist, always has a sidekick, their most loyal companion that is generally always by their side. GameGirl has acknowledged this fact and lists the Top 7 Video Game Sidekicks, which includes Kazooie and Diddy Kong among five other well-known characters, like Yoshi.

VGPlayr’s Top 20 Nintendo Developed Titles

August 21st, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

Sure, the 20 games listed for VGPlayer’s Top 20 Definitive Nintendo Developed Titles are all…Nintendo titles of course; however, included below the top 20 are honorable mentions of second and third party developed titles. For Rare, the list included Slalom, RC Pro Am, Goldeneye, Blast Corps and Donkey Kong Country 2.

Anyone ever played Slalom? I’m not even sure what it is about…
