Famous gaming analyst has spoken to Destructoid and believes that Nintendo will be showing something from the past at their press conference on Tuesday, June 2nd. One such announcement could be Goldeneye if he is to be believed. Goldeneye designer, Martin Hollis, also backed a virtual console release when he told ONM (Official Nintendo Magazine)that "There’s always someone with some exclusivity agreement, so there’s lots of lawyers… I’m not going to hold my breath. I’d love it to happen, but I can’t see it.". And right he is! No chance Microsoft would let that one slip through their fingers without the title also releasing on their Xbox LIVE Arcade service. Can’t we all just get along?

Probably? Really? You know, after seven years, you’d think that people would understand that Microsoft owns Rare and there isn’t a chance in the pits of Grunty’s Lair of Microsoft releasing a franchise they now have the rights to on a competitive console. Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance do not count as MS has stated on several occasions that they do not consider hand-held gaming systems to be competitors to home consoles.

So case-in point, neither Battleads nor KI will be on the Virtual Console. Ever. Xbox LIVE Arcade…now that’s another story altogether and one that is more than feasible.
