Conker withstands again

August 6th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

While he may have lost last week’s rank of six, this week Conker and the Grey Squirrels still maintain their place in the top ten played original Xbox games over LIVE in position number eight. Can they keep the momementum, or will the Tediz overrun their ranks? Come back next week to find out!

Conker Battles Hard

July 30th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

After being booted from the original Xbox LIVE’S top 10 games played for two weeks, Conker pushes himself and the Grey Squirrels harder than ever against the onlsaught of Tediz to reach #6 on the list in the past week. This hasn’t been done for well over a year. Keep on fighting Conker!

Rare-Elite vs. Rare-Extreme: Prologue

July 13th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Weeee were last night’s entertainment. Rare-Elite fought in a battle-to-end-all-battles against team Rare-Extreme in three intense rounds of Conker: Live and Reloaded. The teams included:

Rare-Elite
Hylian1- Thermophile
Banjo-Conker- Sneeker
Conker re- Demolisher

Rare-Extreme
Master Zenek- Thermophile
OneStar- Long Ranger
Shimrod- Demolisher

Those were the original teams during the beginning of the match, but later became a 2-on-2 showdown after two players had other errands to attend to. It wasn’t the best turnout that we had hoped for, but it still turned out to be a lot of fun.

What you’re wondering now is…who won? That answer will come later today after the recorded footage of all three rounds is posted exclusively here at Rare-Elite. This is the one and only place where you can see for yourselves just how badly I suck at Conker…unless you hop on to LIVE to kick my arse, of course.

Conker retains position at #8

July 9th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

Conker does it again. Another long of week of fighting those grisly Xbox games has passed and the red squirrel of destruction has held off an enemy invasion, maintaining his well earned position as the eighth most played original Xbox title. It’s war out there…” he says. Indeed it is my little friend. Indeed it is…

Conker infiltrates Xbox LIVE once more

July 4th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan

You just can’t keep a good squirrel down. Conker: Live and Reloaded is booted off of the original Xbox’s top ten played LIVE games every so often, but that rabid red squirrel of naughtiness always manages to fight his way back. His rank this week? Number eight, says Major Nelson. Keep it up Conker! We don’t want any ‘mother buzzers’ infiltrating Rare-Elite!

Gaming’s Golden Years

April 25th, 2008 by Banjo-Conker

As a part of their latest GT Countdown entry, Gametrailers rounded up their picks for gaming’s finest (ten) years. Unsurprisingly, the years 1997 and 1998, both years of what many consider to be some of Rare’s greatest titles, made the list- specifically, Goldeneye (1997) and Banjo-Kazooie (1998).

2005 was also listed, being the year of Conker: Live and Reloaded, as well as the Xbox 360 launch titles, Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero. Click the link below to see for yourself. Don’t worry, folks, my links are Rick-Roll Freeâ„¢!

Conker lets himself go

April 18th, 2008 by hylian1

GameDaily always has some awkward, out-of-place list (have I ever said how much I hate these?) in hand. The majority of them usually include something that is in relation to Rare and unfortunately, that’s not always a good thing. But not to worry for today. It’s not bad but I don’t know if it’s good either…

Their newest, obligatory listing pertains to the ‘Top 10 Characters that let themselves go’. As bestowed by the title of this news post, it shouldn’t be difficult to decipher that a certain red squirrel squandered onto this list, but does he deserve to be there? He unshamefully wizzes on other beings, chokes singing poo with toilet paper, craps on the village people…Okay. I think it’s pretty self explanatory, don’t you?

Nine is the New Ten

April 9th, 2008 by Banjo-Conker

It’s that oh-so special time of the week again, when Banjo-Conker tells you of the status of our beloved red squirrel’s Xbox outing. For the second week in a row, Conker: Live and Reloaded has made the #9 spot on Major Nelson’s LIVE Activity Update.

Well done, kid.
