22,000 Signatures Surpassed

In early January after 1up.com reported that a remake of Goldeneye 007 for the Xbox LIVE Arcade had been canned due to financial squabbles between Microsoft and Nintendo, we here at Rare-Elite set out on a mission. A mission to gather Goldeneye fans from across the globe together to fight for what should be and can be. Thus arose the Goldeneye Petition.
The petition was started a few short days after 1up’s report and news of it spread like wildfire across the interwebs reaching over 11,000 signatures in one week and 17,000 in two weeks. While the petition has slowed down significantly since then, it still continues to gather signatures nearly two months later and just recently surpassed 22,100 last Sunday.
Currently, however, the outlook of Goldeneye being released isn’t very good, sadly. But as long as we have hope and continue to our part, then its release is always in the realm of possibility. So if you, dear Rare fans, want Goldeneye back, then sign the petition and spread the word among your friends. We can still make this happen!

Very glad to hear! While I’m still pretty bummed out by the fact that the likelyhood of the game being released is currently slim, I’m happy to see the obviously high demand for the title. Have faith, we must, dear. ;)
