RUMOR: Conker sequel and a new Rare shooter?
September 8th, 2008 by Daniel Duncan
Of course they are. Trouble in Paradise released only last week and Pocket Paradise will be in stores tomorrow, both of which will be followed by two Banjo titles come November, so it’s only natural that a new game or two will be announced from Rare in the near future. But just how soon could that be?
A new rumor insists that on September 25th, Microsoft intends to hold a 5-hour long event featuring the new Xbox Experience, DLC, and a few game announcements, two of which include a brand new Conker title and a new Rare shooter.
IF the rumor proves to be true, I’m not certain on the whole Conker portion. Seavor made it quite clear a few years back that he wanted to take a break from the franchise after having worked on the same game for nearly a decade, so I can’t say I really blame the guy. And what is Conker without Conker himself? As for the new shooter, definitely plausible. It’s most likely the next installment in the Perfect Dark franchise, which is fine for me as long as it is less like Perfect Dark Zero and more like Perfect Dark 64 and Goldeneye. I guess we’ll just have to wait until the end of this month to find out!
