64 Days of Viva Pinata- Day 12: The Cursed Crate

July 15th, 2008 by Banjo-Conker

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is closing in on us. In 53 days, this latest installment in the Viva franchise will be landing on store shelves awaiting your loving embrace. To celebrate its upcoming release, we’ll be taking a look at the past of the franchise each day leading up until its US, Canadian, and Latin American release on September 2nd and its European release on September 5th. So without further ado, let’s examine Day 12…

Day 12: The Cursed Crate

Today, we’re going to talk even more about the glitches of Viva Pinata, and delve further into the mean side of our dear Hylian.

Ok, so this all started about a month ago, when Hylian and I were trading "stuff" through Xbox Live. After half an hour of hard work, I managed to piece together this magnificent creation, who quickly became known as B30wulf:

Like anyone who would receive such a gift, Hylian was pleased, as this is surely what compelled him to start working on what he had sent me. Patiently, I waited, tending to my almost always ill-stricken Fizzlybear. Many gaming moons later, however, I received a crate from the ol’ boy. Unfortunately, every time I tried to open the damn thing, my Xbox 360 would freeze on me. This happened at least a dozen times as I tried to open the crate, so naturally, I just gave up. This forced Hylian into a burst of non-stop laughter.

To this day, I still ask Hylian if he’ll just go ahead and tell me what’s inside of the crate. And still, as you’d expect, he refuses. Rest assured, however, as I have come up with one final course of action that will reveal whatever lies inside of that  abomination of a crate. Expect pix soon.

Heh, that’s nothing compared to when I lost my Super-Valuable Pudgeon, “Sir Pecky.” I was SO bummed about losing him when I sent him to a party… Must’ve been one Hell of a shindig though! ;)

Tried shipping a particularly strange Badgesicle to myself…

Thing was, the badgesicle was… permanently happy. Seriously, I hadn’t even GIVEN it anything to make it happy, it just came into my guarden unannounced one night, helped itself to my previously impressive Syrupant family(Which I was NOT at all pleased about, BTW.) and started wandering around as a purple blob of a pure bliss. It had been Stepped on, Whacked, Watered, Ignored,- NOTHING put a damper in it’s disposition, and over time it went from being an annoyance to growing on me. I decided to put it in it’s own garden as a freak of nature, but when I packed it up and unpacked it, somehow that cured it of it’s happyness… Now it’s just ordinary.

Try to open the crate in a different garden.
