Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is closing in on us. In 49 days, this latest installment in the Viva franchise will be landing on store shelves awaiting your loving embrace. To celebrate its upcoming release, we’ll be taking a look at the past of the franchise each day leading up until its US, Canadian, and Latin American release on September 2nd and its European release on September 5th. So without further ado, let’s examine Day 16…

Day 16: Cameos A- Plenty

One of the most interesting aspects of Viva Pinata is the sheer amount of cameos in the game. Rare didn’t just include a vast amount of new accessories and items, they also included many familiar objects that are reminiscent of their past games. Statues, accessories, and even a bit of gossip from Leafos where she makes mention of Grabbed by the Ghoulies. Below is a list of many of the cameo appearances:

-Captain Blackeye Statue 
-Banjo’s Backpack 
-Banjo’s Sharktooth Necklace 
-Gruntilda’s Hat -Conker’s Helmet 
-Grabbed by the Ghoulies Arcade 
-Ortho’s Hat 
-Captain Blackeye’s Hat 
-Bottles’ Glasses 
-Jolly Roger’s Lips
-Jiggy Earrings 
-Captain Blackeye’s Sword 
-Captain Blackeye’s Eyepatch

That’s just to name a few of them. There are plenty more within the game and I hope to eventually get around to providing an entire list with pictures to view as well.
