Our Mission

Rare-Elite's mission with the Rare Fandabase is to provide an unlimited resource of information, media--including screenshots and exclusive videos--and other forms of Rare related material covering every title that Rare has ever developed. Through browsing, you will also find several exclusives that can't be found elsewhere such as the Rare-Elite Comics and Stop N Swop Station.

The Rare Fandabase is a database that will continually grow with time. Everything you see and read may not necessarily be complete and can be edited at any time by the Rare-Elite Staff. Additions will be added on a daily/weekly basis, so continue to visit often for your fix on the latest, provided content.

The Website

Rare-Elite is a fansite dedicated to the UK developer Rare, Ltd. The objective of Rare-Elite is to provide information about each and every product developed/created by Rare in their past, present, and future. All of this information can be found in our established and ever growing Wikipedia.

Rare-Elite was founded by members Hylian1 and Tyrant_Reborn who both currently serve as the site’s webmasters. They are responsible for the running of the site, the majority of its content, and the latest news.

The particular design used on the blog portion of the site was developed by Mario Paiano–better known as Lupaie–, a professional web designer who joined Rare-Elite late last year as a member of the forums and was chosen to create the new design based on his unique and creative work on past projects.

The Community

One of Rare-Elite's key aspects is striving to build an online community where fellow Rare fans can effectively communicate their love for the developer and the many games they have provided for us throughout these many years.
